The application process takes place exclusively online via the application portal.

If you have obtained your higher education entrance qualification outside Germany, you will find all the important information about the application procedure on the International Office website.

Read the instructions under ‘Procedure for applicants with international university entrance qualifications’ on the International Office website carefully and follow the steps described.

The application process runs completely online via the THWS Campus Portal.

In the process described above, you will need to submit the following programme-specific documents:

  • Pre-evaluation from uni-assist (VPD), APS or ZAST/ZAB
  • School-leaving and/or study certificate(s) (graduation certificate and transcript)
  • Passport

Decision on your application

Once we have received and checked your complete application, you will receive a reply via the application portal. If you have been admitted, you will be able to download the letter of admission from the THWS Campus Portal. The letter will not be sent by e-mail or post.

If you would like to accept the study place (button: ‘Enrol’), please follow the instructions for accepting the study place and for enrolling on the degree programme (step 6 and step 7) on the website of the University Student Services.

  • Apply online via THWS Campus Portal
  • Follow the processing steps described there
  • Upload the required documents as PDF files in the application portal

Decision on your application

Admission requirement

One of the following certificates is required for admission to the university:

• General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)
• Subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
• Entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
• General/specialised access for particularly qualified professionals
